President's Fitness Challenge
.
Updated: May 4, 2012
Some of our Westchester Area School students took part in the President's Fitness Challenge.  There are 3 different levels to the President's Challenge:
  1. President's Award - Which means that you successfully completed all 5 exercises and you fell within the 85th percentile of the standards set by the National School Population Fitness Survey
  2. Nationial Award - Which means that you successfully completed all 5 activities and you fell within the 50th percentile of the standards set by the National School Population Fitness Survey
  3. Participant Award - This award is for those who attempted all 5 activities but have one or more scores below the 50th percentile

The awards are offered to help motivate you to try your hardest.  No matter which award you receive today, the important thing is not the award, but what you take away from this.  We hope this challenge will inspire you to remain active and adopt a healthier lifestyle that includes regular physical activity and good nutrition.

It is recommended that this test take place twice a year, the fall and spring.  With this said, we will be back in the fall....For those of you who received the National or Participant award, this is your chance to work on getting the President's award.  For those of you who have received the President's award, you will have to work hard to keep the President's award.
